1. Preparing to fit the device
- Before use, rinse aveoTSD under warm water. This helps ease the device onto the tongue.
- Make sure the V-notch in the aveoTSD device is facing down, to fit around the lingual frenulum.
- In some extreme cases, more room may be required for the frenulum. The V-notch can be modified to provide this room.
2. Attaching the device to tongue
The aveoTSD device attaches to the end of the tongue using gentle suction:
- Push tongue gently into aveoTSD, until the tongue touches the sides of the device.
- Gently squeeze the upper and lower ends of the bulb between the forefinger and thumb.
- By using a gentle repeated pumping action, the tongue will be drawn gently into aveoTSD.
- Draw the tongue into the device until it is firmly attached; make sure it's not too tight or too loose.
- Practice achieving the most comfortable fit to ensure aveoTSD stays on throughout the night.
3. Recommend practice
To achieve optimum results:
- Repeat step 2 to achieve correct fit.
- It may take up to a week to get used to the sensation of having the device attached to the tongue.
- Stay absolutely relaxed when wearing the aveoTSD device for most comfortable fit.
- If snoring continues, there may be a need for the tongue to protude farther. A clip-on Uni-Spacer may be needed to achieve extra titration.
